Research and Development Department

Research and Development Department (RDD) carries out fundamental and applied scientific research, experimental-design activities as well as innovative research of the university's structural divisions. The department is a structural unit of the university and performs its activity under the BSU Charter.

Research and Development Department was formed in 1998 by the Rector's order. According to SARD statute accepted by the BSU Academic Council on October 30, 1998, the major functions of the department are to

  1. Plan and organize research activity of the academic staff

  2. Provide timeliness and fruitfulness of research activity and ensure its compliance with accepted curricula and programs

  3. Organize official registration of the research results, information support to research and development staff

  4. Organize student research bodies, research and production groups and other forms of students' research and development activity

  5. Promote international, interuniversity and interdepartmental R&D links
