Students of the Oriental Institute on internship in the Republic of Korea

From February to June 2025, students of the Oriental Institute completed internships at universities in the Republic of Korea.

One of the partners of the Oriental Institute in the Republic of Kazakhstan is Gangwon National University, which is located in the city of Chuncheon.

When we arrived at Incheon airport, escorts from the university were already waiting for us, they took us to the hostel and helped us to check in.

The city of Chuncheon surprised us with a very calm and pleasant atmosphere, people from the very first days treated us with understanding and helped us in every possible way. The first days were not easy: the language barrier made itself felt, but over time, thanks to the support of our Korean and international friends, we began to get used to life in Korea.

Before starting their studies, students orientation was held for all international students, where they talked in detail about the campus and its facilities, as well as told us a lot of useful things that were useful to us in studying and living in Korea.

During the semester, we went to the most interesting classes, met many other international students and teachers, and also just enjoyed the trip. We went to Seoul over the weekend and managed to visit Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces, Gwanghwamun Square, the National Museum of Korea and many other interesting places.

Every day we learned a lot of new and interesting things about Korean culture, and at every turn we met people who were willing to get in touch and try to help. It was very interesting and exciting to study there. The teachers were nice, didn't scold us for mistakes, and helped us fix them.

Of course, all our impressions and experiences gained in Korea will not fit into one small retelling, but we can definitely say that thanks to this practice we were able to experience the charm of Korea and join its culture. We are very grateful to BSU for this opportunity, thanks to which we received unforgettable emotions and experiences.
