Buryatia to Host the First Forum of University Rectors from Russia and Mongolia

The first Forum of University Rectors from Russia and Mongolia will bring together over 150 representatives from 70 leading Russian universities and 12 key Mongolian universities.

The event will be held at the Banzarov Buryat State University, which has long maintained close cooperation with Mongolian educational institutions.

The Forum serves as an important platform for dialogue in education, scientific research, and technical collaboration.

The event will begin with a plenary session featuring welcoming speeches by:

  • Valery Falkov, Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education,

  • Purevsuren Naranbaatar, Mongolian Minister of Education and Science,

  • Alexey Tsydenov, Head of the Republic of Buryatia,

  • Viktor Sadovnichy, President of the Russian Union of Rectors and Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

On the first day of the Forum, the heads of relevant ministries from Russia and Mongolia will sign a cooperation agreement in higher education, as well as a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Head of Buryatia and the Mongolian Ministry of Education, aimed at strengthening collaboration in higher education.

During the event, rectors from leading Russian and Mongolian universities will discuss the following topics:

  • Education as a Factor in Sustainable Cooperation Between Russia and Mongolia,

  • Priority Areas of Collaboration in Science,

  • Experience in University-Business-Corporate Partnerships,

  • Teaching Russian in Mongolia and Mongolian in Russia.

Additionally, the program will include B2B meetings, an exhibition of scientific and technological achievements by universities of the Republic of Buryatia titled "Personnel Decide Everything!", and a presentation of the book "Russian-Mongolian Cooperation in Higher Education."

On July 5, the exhibition will continue, offering visitors the opportunity to learn about admission procedures, educational programs, innovative projects, and opportunities provided by Buryatia’s universities.
