From June 9–13, the ethno-studio "Ayadon" from Buryat State University participated in the "A World Without Strangers" International Youth Festival, held in Blagoveshchensk (Russia) and Heihe (China). The opening ceremony took place in Heihe, symbolizing the cross-border spirit of the event.

Highlights of the Program

  1. Opening Day in Heihe:

    • Attended master classes on traditional crafts and a conference marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in WWII. This aligns with the festival’s 2025 dedication to historical remembrance 11.

    • Performance at the opening ceremony: "We were in high demand, juggling events, but our key moment was charging everyone with energy of kindness and love! We created an atmosphere of celebration and friendship across nations."

  2. Breaking Barriers:

    • Despite language differences, communication flourished through English translators, gestures, and unifying games. As one participant noted: "Even without shared words, we connected through laughter and team spirit!"

  3. Closing Day in Blagoveshchensk:

    • Grand performance at the Blagoveshchensk Philharmonic on Russia Day (June 12).

    • City tours showcasing Blagoveshchensk’s cultural sites, reinforcing the festival’s goal of "mutual cultural immersion" 13.

Participant Reflections

  • Aneta Baykara (4th-year student, Institute of Natural Sciences):

"We gave 1,000%! The stages of Blagoveshchensk and Heihe won’t forget us anytime soon. We gained friends, fans, and applause—all while representing our republic, university, and Russia. Bringing joy to others made us happiest of all—it was pure pride and inspiration!"

  • Collective Thanks:

"This trip was an unforgettable cultural experience! Heartfelt gratitude to our volunteers from both sides for their tireless guidance, and to BSU’s administration—especially Vice-Rector for Youth Policy Natalya Grigoryevna Lagoida—for enabling this exchange. It will stay in our hearts forever!"

Brotherhood Across Borders

  • The festival epitomizes 35 years of institutional collaboration between Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University (BSPU) and Heihe University, now amplified by the 2024–2025 Russia-China Years of Culture.

  • Activities like joint robotics competitions, tea ceremonies, and folk costume showcases deepened ties, reflecting the festival’s mission to build "a world without strangers" through youth engagement.

Forward Momentum

New projects are already underway to strengthen Sino-Russian ties. As emphasized by BSPU Rector Vera Shchekina:

"This youth festival is an investment in our shared future."
