Career Day for lawyers and economists

On May 14, 2025, the University hosted its first Career Day, organized specifically for students, graduates and young professionals of law and economics majors. The event was held in the format of an interactive meeting, where students had the opportunity to get acquainted with representatives of employers, to discuss the prospects of employment and career development.

Welcoming speeches were made by Elena Urmakshinova, Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Valeria Khaltakshinova, Chairperson of the State Legal Committee of the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Buryatia and the Government of the Republic of Buryatia, Valeria Khaltakshinova, Director of the Institute of Law and Economics Elvira Radnaeva, Deputy Head of the Republican Employment Agency of the Republic of Buryatia Alexander Benyash, Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Office of the People's Khural of the Republic of Buryatia Yes, the event was organized by the Institute of Law and Economics of the Republic of Buryatia.

The Career Day included a panel discussion on “Career Trajectories: from Theory to Practice”, where experts and company representatives discussed current trends in the labor market for lawyers and economists, opportunities for additional professional education, employer requirements and key competencies of future specialists.

HR partners presented their stands with information about the companies, directly communicated with students and gave their consultations on professional development.

The event allowed future specialists to get acquainted with the prospects of their professional activity, determine further steps in career development and establish useful contacts with potential employers.

Cooperation with all partners will be continued. A series of events has already been planned.
