On May 9, faculty and students from the Institute of History and Philology and the Eastern Institute participated in the international scientific-practical conference “Current Issues in International Relations: Present and Future” at Chinggis Khan International University of Governance.
The conference was held as part of the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) grant project “Traditional Buddhism, Post-Secularity, and Modern Socio-Political Processes in Russia and Mongolia” (No. 24-48-03022, https://rscf.ru/project/24-48-03022/). Researchers from BSU’s “Alternative” Center for Socio-Political Studies presented their papers, including:
Vladimir Aleksandrovich Rodionov, Director of the Eastern Institute;
Innokentiy Galimalaevich Aktamov, Head of the Laboratory of the Center for Translations of Eastern Languages at the Institute of Mongolian, Buddhist, and Tibetan Studies of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences;
Aleksandr Batorovich Tsydenov, Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Sociology, BSU;
Timur Batorovich Badmatsyrenov, Head of the Department of Political Science and Sociology, BSU.

Natalia Dmitrievna Dondukova, a third-year student at IIF, won third place for her presentation “Tourism as a Soft Power Tool: Promoting Mongolia on the International Stage.”

The BSU delegation visited the National University of Mongolia. O. Munkhbat, Director of the Ulaanbaatar Science and Technology Park at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, introduced faculty and students to the park’s operational plans, strategies for promoting university startups, and their product development initiatives.
The delegation also engaged with staff from the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the School of Arts and Sciences of the Mongolian State University, interacted with members of the “Young Sociologist” student research club, and toured the university’s scientific library.
