Banzarov Buryat State University took part in the III Salon of Siberian-French Higher Education and Science

On October 13, 2021, Banzarov Buryat State University took part in the III Salon of Siberian-French Higher Education and Science.

Thanks to participation in the Salon 2020, the university established ties with the French university Paul Valery Montpellier-3. In the course of long negotiations, an agreement on student exchange between universities is approaching the final stage. Within the exchange program, students studying French at Buryat State University will be able to take one-semester language internship in France. In turn, from 2022, our university will accept French students for studying the Chinese language and culture, as well as Russian as a Foreign Language and English for Special Purposes. This academic year, the university is implementing a joint educational program with another French university “Polytech Nantes”, majoring in Biology.

Within the III Salon, Siberian Russian universities and French partners (Campus France, University of Burgundy and Franche Conte, University of Nantes, University of Toulouse, etc.), discussed international cooperation issues in the current epidemiological situation. The universities talked about the creating of alumni associations and their role for the university, and the language problem solving in universities to organize academic mobility.
