The Russian Language Winter School at Lake Baikal (for foreign students)

From January 22 to January 24, the Department of Russian as a Foreign Languageheld the Russian Language Winter Schoolin the village of Goryachinsk. Goryachinsk greeted the guests withwonderful weather!

The program of this school was very rich. There were educational linguistic and cultural classes, open cinemas (watching and discussing films), outdoor games, morning exercises, walking tours, video filming ("The Russian Language. A Foreigner's View").

The school was attended by foreign students from China, Mongolia, Thailand, and the United States.

The foreign students enriched their knowledge of Russia and the Russian culture, enjoyed the greatness of Lake Baikal, made a snowman with pleasure and took part in outdoor games in the open air, shared their opinions about the Russian language and Russian literature. They expressed their wish to meet again on the shore of Lake Baikalthis summer.
