Professors of the Institute of Oriental Studies and the Faculty of History, BSU, took part in academic events held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
The International Relations Institute of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences hosted a joint Russian-Mongolian workshop "Russian "soft power" in contemporary Mongolia: topic conceptualization" on October 7.
A meeting with the management of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar was held on October 9. The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of popularizing Russian education, culture, and the Russian language among Mongolian citizens, outlined the main vectors for cooperation between BSU and the RCSC, including the issue of enhancing career guidance work in Mongolia.
These events were part of the joint research grant issued by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Mongolia "Soft power" in Russian-Mongolian relations: a comparative analysis", No 19-514-44001 (supervisor - V. Rodionov).
