On September 16, a delegation of Mongolian National University headed by its President, Doctor, Professor Bayarsukh Dashdolgor visited Buryat State University.
The meeting resulted in the signing of an agreement on cooperation and social partnership. Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further cooperation in various academic areas, including Medicine, Linguistics, Chemistry, Oriental studies, and Balneology. Another subject discussed during the meeting was organization of exchange programs for both faculty and students. Good facilities and modern equipment available at Mongolian National University will make it possible for BSU students to undergo practical training there in 2020.
In the short-term perspective, the parties are planning to hold an international Microbiology conference, a summer school for Mongolian studies scholars, and an international camp for Philology teachers and linguists. The agenda of the meeting also included the concept of foreign language teaching at Mongolian National University, peculiarities of international and educational activities in a non-state university, compliance to international educational standards, and some other issues.
The Mongolian side expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and hope for close cooperation.
