International scientific and practical conference “Modern trends in teaching foreign languages” were held in BSU on the 18th of May.

The vice-rector for social policy and educational work V. Kozulin opened the conference. He stressed that today the formation and development of science is impossible without the knowledge of foreign languages. He wished participants productive human and professional communication, useful in terms of practice. In addition, he noted that a presence large proportion of colleagues from Mongolia is very joyful fact.

Having greeted the audience in Russian, Mongolian, English, the head of the research part of BSU I. Dorzhieva said that for a modern person it is necessary to know a foreign language, and not just one! She expressed her confidence that the conference would give impetus to raising the level of teaching foreign languages.

The participants of the conference were congratulated by the professor of philology and mass communications (IPMC). P.
