On the 11th of February there was a round-table discussion “The rights of participants of educational process: problems and the ways of solving” at the faculty of law of Buryat State University. Opening the round table, the dean of the faculty of law noted, “ to create and maintain a safe educational space, where even very difficult conflicts of subjects of educational relations can be structurally settled, not only without aggression and moral, material losses, but with prospects of personal and social growth there must be a third party. Mediators (“the third party”) should be taught and prepared, but we can teach children to overcome conflicts only with the help of specially trained and prepared people”.

The other participants of the round table supported Melnikov V.M. They are the representatives of the Municipal government of education, of the Ombudsman for child’s rights of the Ulan-Ude city council of the deputies of Shagdarova I.V., the teachers of law, social and pedagogical faculties, the teachers of the Institute of continuous education of BSU and certainly the representatives of schools, who are the first trained according to the program “Legal, social and psychological bases of protection the rights of participants of educational process”. All of them said, the schools “are short of negotiators, reconciliation services, centers of meditation, who can help students, their parents and teachers to structurally solve conflict situations.” The service of reconciliation is an institution which helps “to overcome a situation”.
