On February 3rd a presentation commemorating the reprint of Aleksei Pavlovich Okladnikov's work "Notes on the History of Western Buryat-Mongols: XVII-XVIII Centuries" took place. A researcher, historian, archaeologist, and ethnographer, Okladnikov was a specialist in the field of Siberian and Buryat history. This historical work was republished by BSU as part of a series of reprints of rare historical books. Okladnikov's daughter Elena Alekseevna Okladnikova, herself a professor and PhD in History, flew in especially for the occasion from Saint Petersburg.
