The exhibition «Nikolay Elaev - soldier, scientist, teacher and artist», devoted to the 55th anniversary of work of Prof. Elaev N.K. in BSPI-BSU was opened at the museum of BSU on November, 12th.
Nikolay Elaev was born on December, 30th 1924 in Haragun of Bokhansky district, Irkutsk region. In October, 1942 at the age of 18 he left for the front. He finished a school of second lieutenants of Zabaycalsky military district and in September, 1943 was sent to the field army of the Central front. He took part in liberation of Belarus, Poland, Lithuania and East Prussia. He was awarded with the military medals «Red Star», «Patriotic War I and II degrees» for combat heroism. In 1950 he graduated from Irkutsk State University. Since 1958 worked in BSPI-BSU. Elaev N.K is an author of about 100 scientific works, including monographies and the textbooks in pedagogics history.
The exhibition «Elaev N.K. - soldier, scientist, teacher and artist» is an attempt to present him as a versatile person, to tell a story of a teacher and a researcher. Some exhibits will be donated to the museum by his family.
