According to the test results of students’ enrolled in 2013, Buryat State University confirmed its status as the best university in the Republic of Buryatia. BSU students ranked first among the Republic’s universities on the Uniform State Exam, with an average score of 62,8 points per subject.
Both the “Higher School of Economics” National Research University and RIA “NOVOSTI” rated each of Russia’s universities according to their performance in the area of “public monitoring of students’ admission to universities as a basic condition of equal educational opportunity” in 2013. It is the fourth time that Russian State Universities’ admission procedure has been monitored at the Ministry of Education and Science as well as the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation’s request.
The research is based on the analysis of the Uniform State Exam results of students enrolled in 2013 for the full-time bachelor degree program. Every state university was monitored, except Military and Artistic ones, because those require additional exams along with the Uniform State Exam. About 471 Universities were monitored.
