As part of the international grant of RHSF (Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation) and Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia ""The Return" of Russia to Mongolia: Models and Scripts" and with the financial support of RHSF in the period from 30 June to 1 July 2013 in the walls of Buryat State University, a number of scientific events was conducted, which were devoted to the study of contemporary Russian -Mongolian relations. The organizers and active participants of these events were teachers of BSU: a project manager V.A Rodionov, Candidate of Science (Politics), (the Department of History, Archaeology and Ethnography); the performers I.G. Aktamov, Candidate of Science (Pedagogy), (the Head of the Office of International Affairs); D.D.Badaraev Candidate of Science (Sociology), (the Department of social work theory); T.B.Badmatsyrenov, Candidate of Science (Sociology); B.S.Budaev, Candidate of Science (Politics); I.C.Dorzhieva, Candidate of Science (Sociology), (the Department of Political Science and Sociology).
The events have included: the discussion of the text of the collective monograph "The contemporary Russian-Mongolian relations: Models and Scripts", participation in the international conference "The phenomenon of XII Pandido Khambo Lama Itigelov" scientific seminar "Actual issues of contemporary Russian-Mongolian relations." The seminar was attended by Pro-Rector for academic activity of BSU, Doctor of Science (History) D.K.Chimitova, members of the Russian Foreign Ministry representative office in Ulan-Ude headed by V.M. Mitypov, leading scientists in Mongolian of BSU, and Mongolian scientists in international affairs headed by the director of the Institute of International Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia D. Sc. Dorzhiin Shurhuu.
