The Russian Language Day-2020 at the Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages and Mass Communications

The domestic departments of the Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages and Mass Communications congratulate everyone who likes, knows and learns our great and mighty Russian language. Since the spring events of 2020 took us into online communication, the organizing committee tried to use new ways of organizing the holiday in order to popularize, preserve and develop the Russian language.

In preparation for the Russian Language Day three competitions for students, schoolchildren and everyone who likes the Russian language and A.S. Pushkin’s works were announced in social networks:

  1. Online performance competition in Russian among Russian students (the nomination " A.S. Pushkin’s poem recitation " and the nomination "Romance performance by A.S. Pushkin’s poem").
  2. Online performance competition in Russian among foreign students studying the Russian language and currently located in different countries (the nomination " A.S. Pushkin’s poem recitation " and the nomination "Romance performance by A.S. Pushkin’s poem").
  3. Videos and clips competition in Russian on the topic "Pushkin in my life."

In total, more than 70 people took part in the competition. Among them there were students and teachers of BSU and schoolchildren of Ulan-Ude. Being on self-isolation at home, foreign students of BSU very actively responded to the call. The students from China, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Venezuela sent their works.

According to the results of three competitions, the jury unanimously noted the collective and individual works that were sent by the gymnasium No. 59 schoolchildren, students of groups 18190, 18180, 18990, students from the cities of Xian, Changchun, Hebei and other countries: Salmeron Mallorca David Alejandro (Venezuela), Intarasompong Pavali (Thailand), Lee Hyun Kyung (Republic of Korea), Teppotanon Sarita (Thailand), Ahmad Hafiz Rido Nur (Indonesia), Khan Shinkhi (Korea).

These participants will be awarded with prizes and certificates immediately after the self-isolation cancel. Based on the results of the work, the organizing committee made a video from the works of participants (it was sent to all participants), as well as a video trailer for the virtual holiday. In their works, students and teachers expressed their gratitude and respect for the event. Many of them have mastered these technologies for the first time. That was a nice experience for both organizers and participants!
