Best Young Scientist of Buryatia-2019 Contest Results

The meeting of the Science and Innovation Council under Head of the Republic of Buryatia summed up the results of the republican contest Best Young Scientist of Buryatia–2019. The meeting was held on October 17.

Head of Buryatia Alexey Tsydenov saluted young scientists who had achieved significant results in research activities. The event was traditionally held with the support of the RB Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy. This year more than 30 young scientists from universities and research institutes of the Republic took part in the contest. The contest Commission had determined four winners and six prize winners in four categories: social and humanitarian, natural, technical sciences, and education.

Among the winners there are representatives of Dorji Banzarov Buryat State University: in the Enlightenment nomination – Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Head of Asian Countries' History and Regional Studies Vladimir Rodionov, in the Natural Sciences nomination - teaching fellow of the Pharmacy Department Zhargal Tykheyev.

The prize winners are: in the Social and Humanitarian Sciences nomination – Doctor of Sociology, Associate Professor of the Political Science and Sociology Department Timur Badmatsyrenov, in the Technical Sciences nomination – Cand.Sc., Assistant Professor of the Algebra, Geometry and Mathematics Teaching Methods Department Sergey Badmaev.
