Day of open lectures on Korean culture and literature
On the April 27, the Day of Open Lectures on Korean Culture and Literature was organized at the Buryat State University with the support of the Korea Foundation. The lecturers were Professor Pae Kyubom, Deputy Director of the Center for Korean Culture at the Classical University of Central China (Wuhan) and Professor Li Konuk, curator of the National Museum of the Republic of Korea, a member of the Cultural Policy Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Lectures were devoted to the traditional culture, literature and ethnography of Korea.
Also, the vice-rector for research work of the BSU Vyacheslav V. Khakhinov and Director of Moscow office of the Korean Fund, Mr. Mun Song have had a meeting within the frameworks of the event,. The parties discussed the current situation and plans for the development of Korean studies at the Buryat State University and outlined further areas for cooperation. In addition, a quiz on Korea's contemporary culture was held, all the prizes were provided by the Korean Foundation.
