The history of BSU College started in 1999 when the College of Law was first established at the university. Some other departments later established their colleges, too, and in 2008 they were combined to form an autonomous unit of the University- BSU College.
During these years, the college has successfully developed and is now one of the leading institutions of vocational secondary education in the region. To date, it has granted diplomas to more than 3000 graduates.
Today the college has more than 500 full-time and part-time students; admission is possible on the basis of a 9-year and 11-year course of study at comprehensive school. Students do not come only from the Republic of Buryatia, but also from Irkutsk region, Zabaykalsky region, the Tuva Republic, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and other regions.
All educational courses were developed in cooperation with the institutes, faculties and departments of
Buryat State University. As a result, university traditions have been introduced to the college curriculum and the learning process.
BSU College is a dynamically developing vocational educational institution with excellent intellectual potential that can provide high-quality training to future professionals.
