The Faculty of History on the Mayak Radio

The morning program "Coffee Time", broadcast by the Mayak radio station, was devoted to the History Faculty of Buryat state University. Alexey Kizub, host of the show, acquainted listeners with the main areas of professional training at the Faculty, the most vivid events and employment opportunities for the Faculty’s graduates.

Chairman of the BSU Student Self-Government Federation Ananda Ochirov spoke about the practical side of training at the Department of Political Science, about the possibilities for students to take part in election campaigns, and how students can uncover their talent in cultural, creative and social fields.

Valery Malygin, member of the "Attila" Archaeological Student Group, shared his experience of studying at the Faculty and spoke about his personal participation in archaeological expeditions to the Ivolginsky settlement and Uda wintering.

Alexander Vasyutkin, member of the "Lynx" search team, spoke about participation in search work in Kaliningrad, Podolsk and on Khalkhin-Gol (Mongolia), and also about patriotic education work with schoolchildren.

Ekaterina Bulgakova shared her experience of participation in the all-Russian talent show “Students’ spring”, in which she twice became a prize-winner in the category "Original genre", presenting artistic performances of aerial acrobatics.

Dean of the Faculty of History Victoria V. Nomogoeva spoke about the policy of the Faculty in relation to the development of student initiatives, employment of graduates and cooperation with partners of the Faculty. She also emphasized the lack of teaching staff in schools of the city and the Republic, as well as the demand for History graduates by civil services, archives and museums, research, law enforcement agencies and cultural establishments.
