On April 1, 2014, the Director of the Institute of Confucian Studies Professor Go Khailou read an open lecture for students of the Eastern Studies faculty on the topic "an Overview of Economic Reforms in the People's Republic of China." Through the course of the lecture Professor Khailou discussed the most important stages of China's economic development, gave an analysis of the reforms which took place, and summarized their results. Students interest in the topic was especially noteworthy and they actively asked many questions and expressed their own opinions on the subject.
